RAWALPINDI (Kashmir English): The Pakistan Super League (PSL X) match at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium started with a one-minute silence to honor civilians martyred in Indian late-night strikes at several cities in Pakistan.

As per details, spectators, match officials, and players from Quetta Gladiators and Islamabad United observed a minute of silence ahead of the clash.

Following that, the stadium echoed with Pakistan’s national anthem, with players and spectators standing in reverence.

Earlier, the Pakistan Cricket Board confirmed that PSL X will continue as planned at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium, as speculation started circulating that Pakistan might halt the PSL tournament due to the recent standoff between Pakistan and India following India’s unprovoked aggression against civilians within Pakistan.

In a press conference on late Wednesday, DG ISPR Lt Gen Sharif Chaudhry said that the civilian death toll from Indian strikes has claimed 31 lives and 57 injured as India targets six locations inside Pakistan on the night of May 6 and 7.

As for the ongoing PSL clash, Quetta Gladiators won the toss and elected to bowl first against Quetta Gladiators in the 26th match of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) 10 at the Pindi Cricket Stadium on Wednesday.

Defending champions Islamabad United find themselves teetering on the brink of elimination after suffering three consecutive defeats.
