MUZAFFARABAD (Kashmir English): Muzaffarabad police have arrested 29 people, including children, for violating Section 144, which prohibits citizens from bathing and swimming in rivers and streams within the district.
As per details, the District Magistrate Muzaffarabad Raja Mudassar Farooq has imposed Section 144, and despite the ban, many individuals were found violating the order, prompting the authorities to take action.
A team led by Magistrate Muzaffarabad Hammad Bashir and SHO Saddar Police Station Syed Wajahat Kazmi conducted a crackdown against people who were bathing in the river, arresting 29 from Naluchi to Kamsar.
The administration has appealed to parents to play an active role in ensuring their children do not venture near the rivers, emphasizing the importance of societal responsibility in adhering to safety measures.
The authorities have urged the community to reform and adhere to the imposed regulations, highlighting the need for collective action to prevent potential risks and ensure public safety.
