BANNU (Kashmir English): At least 13 police personnel and civilians were martyred, while six were injured in a suicide attack on the Fateh Khel police post in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Bannu district on Saturday.

The Indian-sponsored Khawarij launched their attack on the police post by ramming a vehicle laden with explosives.

According to the security sources, the police stopped a suspicious vehicle near the Fateh Khel police post, which was moving towards a civilian population.

When the police stopped the vehicle, the attacker blew up the vehicle, resulting in a powerful explosion. The explosion caused the roof of the Fateh Khel police station to collapse and also caused heavy damage to civilian houses in the vicinity.

Due to the roof collapse, 13 police officials and civilians were martyred, and 6 people were injured. Moreover, three civilians were also among the injured.

“The Khawarij, on the instructions of their Indian masters, have lost their senses and started targeting civilian and soft targets as a result of the successful operations of Ghazab Lil-Haq, sources said.

After this incident, there is intense anger and resentment among the people of Bannu against the Khawarij. Meanwhile, people have demanded strict action against Khawarij from security forces.

On the other hand, Chief Minister KP Sohail Afridi remains apathetic and silent as always on the matter of civilians being targeted by the TTP terrorists.
