Zil Hajj moon sighted in Pakistan, Eid on May 27

ISLAMABAD (Kashmir English): Pakistan will celebrate Eid-ul-Adha on May 27 (Wednesday) as the Ruet-e-Hilal Committee announced sighting of the Zil Hajj moon on Sunday evening.

The new moon marked the beginning of the Islamic month of Zil Hajj, 1447 Hijri.

On the basis of the announcement, the first day of Zil Hajj 1447 Hijri will fall on Monday, May 18, in Pakistan while Eid ul Adha will be observed on May 27.
