LONDON (Kashmir English): Pakistani YouTuber Rajab Butt’s lawyer on Tuesday rejected the reports circulating in the media that the United Kingdom has deported Rajab Butt after revoking his visa.

Several media reports alleged that Butt departed for Pakistan early in the morning on a flight arranged following the expulsion orders.

Sources reported that the UK Home Office cancelled his British visa and ordered his immediate departure after they found that he had failed to disclose pending cases against him when applying for his visa.

Meanwhile, his lawyer, Mian Ali Ashfaq, claimed that Rajab Butt has not been deported from the UK. “I represent him as his lawyer, holding all valid, documentary evidence to take this legal position,” he wrote on X.

Ashfaq further added that “Butt has left the UK on his own independent choice to return to Pakistan and has already surrendered before the Islamabad High Court today, and by doing such, he’s granted access to reach Islamabad without any hindrance by or from any administrative authority requiring him in any criminal case.”

“He’ll also appear in person in the Islamabad High Court tomorrow in pursuance of the court orders passed today,” he stated.

In a separate development, the Islamabad High Court (IHC) granted protective bail to Rajab Butt and TikToker Nadeem Naniwala in cybercrime and other pending cases registered against them.

Justice Raja Inam Amin Minhas directed authorities not to arrest the two content creators upon their arrival at Islamabad International Airport on Wednesday and ordered both men to appear before the IHC tomorrow.
