HAVELI KAHUTA (Kashmir English): Hamza Development Foundation (HDF) and Pakistan Poverty Alleviation Fund (PPAF) organized a ceremony on the occasion of Youm-e-Takbeer at Pilot High School Kahuta in Haveli district, which was presided over by Principal Government High School Kahuta Khalid Khan.
A special event was held at Pilot High School Kahuta to mark Youm-e-Takbeer in Haveli, organised by the Hamza Development Foundation and the Pakistan Poverty Alleviation Fund (PPAF). The Deputy Commissioner of Haveli hosted the event, which highlighted the national significance of May 28.
The ceremony began with the recitation of the Holy Quran and was presided over by Principal Khalid Khan of Government High School Kahuta. Sheikh Mahmood Ahmed Advocate was the guest of honour. In his role as host, the Deputy Commissioner welcomed all attendees and dignitaries.
Speakers at the event paid tribute to the importance of Youm-e-Takbeer in Haveli, recalling how Pakistan conducted nuclear tests on May 28 in response to India’s threats.
The ceremony helped remind people of the importance of the day for Pakistan and Azad Kashmir. Participants highlighted the bravery and strategic strength demonstrated by Pakistan’s armed forces in response to foreign provocations.
Special praise was given to the late Dr Abdul Qadeer Khan, widely regarded as the father of Pakistan’s nuclear programme. Speakers honoured him as a national hero.
Youm-e-Takbeer was recognized by people from the community, including educators, students, leaders and authorities, who came together to celebrate the concept of strength and sovereignty.
Many speeches and discussions captured a strong feeling of pride and thanks for the sacrifices aimed at safeguarding the country.
In another instance, The Prime Minister of Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) Chaudhry Anwarul Haq also emphasized the symbolism of Youm-e-Takbeer as national strength and unity.
“Youm-e-Takbeer teaches us that if the nation is united, the leadership is courageous, and the objectives are clear, then no power in the world can bend it,” the PM stated.
The celebration of Youm-e-Takbeer in Haveli showed that everyone was united, proud and strong as a nation. Events such as this are important because they remind younger people about the achievements of the past and those who achieved them.
