MIRPUR KHAS (Kashmir English): A woman was allegedly raped inside a police station by Station House Officer (SHO) in Sindh’s Mirpur Khas district, the district police spokesperson said, according to the Express News.
The police said that the woman went to the Mehran Police Station to file a complaint regarding her missing daughter, where she was allegedly sexually assaulted.
After the victim’s complaint with the Deputy Inspector General (DIG), the police registered a case, and SSP Mirpur Khas Dr. Sameer Noor Channa immediately suspended SHO Mir Khadim Talpur and ordered an inquiry.
According to the police, after the woman’s request, the medical samples of the SHO and the woman have been collected for testing. Further action will be taken after the medical report.
