ISLAMABAD (Kashmir English): The weather in the federal capital, Islamabad, is completely cloudy, while rain continues in different parts of the city.
The Meteorological Department has also predicted heavy rain in Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Balochistan and various parts of the Kashmir region during the next few hours.
Like other parts of the country, the Meteorological Department has given good news to the citizens and has predicted rains with strong winds, gusty winds and thunderstorms in Kashmir and the upper areas during the weekend. Due to this weather condition, there is a possibility of a significant drop in temperature.
Chances of rain in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Punjab
According to the Meteorological Department, the weather is likely to remain hot and very humid in most districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, however, rain with thundershowers is expected at various places in Dir, Chitral, Swat, Kohistan, Shangla, Battagram, Mansehra, Peshawar, Abbottabad, Haripur, Buner, Malakand, Nowshera, Bajaur, Hangu, Kohat, Lakki Marwat, Bannu, Dera Ismail Khan and Waziristan.
Cloudy showers have also been predicted in Punjab, under which there is a possibility of rain at places in Rawalpindi, Murree, Galiyat, Attock, Chakwal, Jhelum, Lahore, Gujrat, Gujranwala, Hafizabad, Sheikhupura, Sialkot, Narowal, Sahiwal, Faisalabad, Khushab, Sargodha, Multan, Jhang, Bhakkar, Mianwali, Layyah and Dera Ghazi Khan.
Weather conditions in Sindh and Balochistan
On the other hand, the weather will remain hot and humid in most districts of Sindh, while the heat and humidity are also expected to persist in Karachi. According to the Meteorological Department, the maximum temperature of Karachi city can reach 35 degrees Celsius, while the humidity in the air is likely to remain up to 74 percent, due to which a further increase in humidity can be felt.
Meanwhile, the weather has also been predicted to remain hot in most districts of Balochistan, however, various districts of the province, including Zhob, Musakhel, Sherani, Kohlu and Barkhan, have been predicted to experience thundershowers.
Important precautions for citizens
In view of the changing weather conditions, the Meteorological Department has specially instructed citizens to take all necessary precautions during the rain.
Along with this, people living in low-lying areas have been warned to constantly monitor the latest information regarding the weather situation so that any unexpected situation can be avoided in time.
