JHELUM VALLEY (Kashmir English): Minister for Information of Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK), Pir Mazhar Saeed Shah, has issued a strong warning to India, stating that if New Delhi attempts to block water, Pakistan will respond by cutting off India’s “very breath.”
Speaking at a grand Khatm-e-Nabuwwat Conference in Jhelum Valley, Pir Mazhar Saeed declared that just as a surgeon removes a tumour to save a body, war is sometimes necessary to eliminate oppression and ignorance for the sake of peace, justice, and knowledge.
He stressed that while war is not the desire if it is forced upon them, the Kashmiri people are fully prepared to show courage reminiscent of the battles of Badr and Uhud.
Pir Mazhar Saeed criticised India for its inconsistent handling of water, opening and closing flows unpredictably. He said the Kashmiri people have faced Indian oppression and deceit for the past 77 years with patience and resilience.
“We will not let India hide behind any false narrative,” he said, adding that India’s facade of secular democracy has been fully exposed to the world.
He praised the people of Jhelum Valley for their passionate organisation of the conference and noted that the slogans of belief in the finality of Prophethood are echoing across all directions.
Pir Mazhar Saeed said that the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) had commanded Muslims to support the oppressed and establish peace, and that obligation remains vital today.
He further stated that if India dares to start a conflict, “they may initiate it, but we will finish it.” Pir Mazhar Saeed expressed full solidarity with Pakistan’s defence institutions, calling the armed forces the “chest” and the Kashmiri people the “back” supporting them.
In his speech, Pir Mazhar Saeed also vowed to counter India’s “digital deceit and propaganda.” Referring to any future cross-border aggression, he warned that the response would be even harsher than the one given to Indian pilot Abhinandan.
Pir Mazhar Saeed concluded by affirming the unwavering commitment of the Kashmiri people to national security and defence, underlining that no threat or tactic from India would weaken their resolve.
