How Pak Army Foiled the Attack
Earlier, the SSG Commander, Colonel Muhammad Tahir Shah, who was also leading the clearance operation himself, provided detailed insights into how the operation unfolded.
According to Colonel Tahir, who was also leading the operation, told that on November 10, five Afghan Khawarij entered the jurisdiction of Wana Cadet College, attempting to take students hostage and breach the campus.
“One suicide bomber detonated explosives at the gate of the cadet college, while the other four tried to enter the campus; they aimed to take the students hostage.
”However, due to Pakistan’s Army’s timely action, we moved all the students to a safe place and were able to confine the terrorists to a specific block and neutralized all of them between 10 and 10:30 pm last night,” he further added.
While praising Field Marshal Asim Munir’s quick and prompt actions, the SSG commando said that Field Marshal Asim Munir closely monitored the operation from start to finish, emphasizing that “these builders of the nation are our capital, no harm should come to them at all.”
Connel Tahir Shah also stated that Pakistan Army personnel stood as a protective shield between the cadets and the terrorists for over 24 hours, ensuring the safety of all students and staff.
