NEW YORK (Kashmir English): US Secretary of State Marco Rubio once again said that the Strait of Hormuz is an international waterway, and according to international law, no country is allowed to impose tolls or fees on the Strait of Hormuz.
The US Secretary of State Marco Rubio arrived in Abu Dhabi to take Gulf allies into confidence on the Iran-US deal.
According to US media, the US is likely to give security assurances to the Gulf countries.
US Secretary of State Marco Rubio, while talking to reporters, said that no country can impose tolls or fees on the Strait of Hormuz, and imposing taxes or fees on an international waterway is against international law. All countries in the region agree with the US position.
Marco Rubio said that Iran must act as a state instead of a revolutionary movement. If Iran acts as a state, there are great development opportunities. As long as Iranian proxies carry out attacks, tensions in the region cannot end.
The US Secretary of State said that missile and drone attacks from Iraq are a major threat to regional peace. This issue will also be discussed soon in the US-Iran talks.
It should be noted that Oman and Iran said in a joint statement on Tuesday that the two countries will review the future management of the Strait of Hormuz and the fees charged for the services provided.
