University of Poonch shines in THE’s SDG global ranking 2025

RAWALAKOT (Kashmir English): University of Poonch Rawalakot has once again made its mark in the Times Higher Education’s (THE) Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) Global Ranking 2025.

The university has retained its position as the top university in Azad Kashmir and among the prominent universities in Pakistan.

University of Poonch ranked 601-800 globally in THE’s Impact Rankings 2025, alongside other notable Pakistani universities such as Government College Women University (GCWU) Sialkot, and University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences (UVAS) Lahore.

The university secured a prominent position in the Quality Education Index, showcasing its commitment to providing high-quality education.

The university also showed improvement in the UN’s Zero Hunger Sustainable Development Goal, highlighting its efforts in addressing global challenges.

In a statement, Vice Chancellor Dr. Zakaria Zakir congratulated students, teachers, and administration on this university’s achievements.

He emphasized the need to continue this success and improve educational standards, with a focus on achieving the best results using existing resources.

The statement further added that this achievement will have a direct impact on students. The university’s global recognition will allow students to compete with peers from top universities worldwide.
