ABU DHABI (Kashmir English): The United Arab Emirates (UAE) on Monday said that four missiles were launched from Iran, three of which were intercepted, and one fell into the sea.
In a statement, the UAE’s Defence Ministry said, “Four cruise missiles launched from Iran were detected toward various areas across the country.”
It confirmed that the sounds heard in various parts of the country are the result of the UAE air defense systems intercepting ballistic missiles, cruise missiles, and drones.
The UAE’s National Emergency Crisis and Disaster Management Authority has also issued a missile threat alert, urging people to remain in a safe location and follow official channels for warnings and updates.
“Air defense systems are currently responding to a missile threat,” the crisis and disaster authority said.
