SOUTH WAZIRISTAN (Kashmir English): Seven civilians were injured as security forces foiled a suicide attempt by Khawarijs on a Pakistan Army post in the Azam Warsak area of South Waziristan.
The terrorists attempted to target the army post using a vehicle loaded with explosives. However, alert Pakistan Army personnel acted swiftly and destroyed the vehicle before it reached the target.
The attacker was killed during the operation, preventing what could have been a major loss of life.
Seven injured in the incident were immediately shifted to DHQ Hospital Wana, MS, Dr. Jan Muhammad said.
Security forces have cordoned off the area and launched a search operation.
