“During interrogation, it was revealed that the arrested terrorist has neither sufficient knowledge of religion nor any real affiliation with it. These elements are spreading terrorism in the country merely for the sake of a few rupees,” said Additional Secretary Interior, Hamza Shafqaat.
Balochistan Home Minister said for decades, attempts have been made to spread instability in Pakistan under a conspiracy. “We have consistently told the international community that Pakistan is a responsible country. Pakistan is attacking terrorist hideouts in Afghanistan for the protection of its citizens.”
He said Pakistan has no animosity towards the people of Afghanistan. “We will give a strong response to those who cast an evil eye on Pakistan,” the minister added.
The minister told media that Pakistan has provided concrete evidence multiple times that Afghanistan’s soil is being used against Pakistan.
“The Government of Pakistan has repeatedly urged the Afghan Taliban regime to prevent its soil from being used against Pakistan.”
The minister said he wanted to present evidence of terrorism by Afghanistan in Pakistan through media interaction.
He said Afghan terrorist Habibullah, who belongs to Afghanistan, has been arrested by the security agencies.
The minister further said that the government has decided that Afghan refugees residing illegally in Pakistan will be repatriated.
He said thousands of intelligence-based operations have been conducted against terrorists in Balochistan. “So far, 960,000 illegally residing Afghan nationals have been deported from the province,” he added.
Additional Secretary Interior said that terrorist Habibullah is affiliated with the TTA and was arrested before but was released as an ordinary citizen under goodwill. He said Habibullah was re-arrested from the Kuchlak area, which exposed cross-border terrorism links. TTA and TTP are jointly carrying out terrorist activities in Balochistan, he added.
