WASHINGTON (Kashmir English): US President Donald Trump has stated that further negotiations with Iran are expected this week.
He noted that the deal Tehran desires does not align with the terms he seeks.
In an interview with the US news website Axios, Trump expressed his expectation for further talks with Iran.
He remarked that while Iran wants to reach an agreement, it is not the kind of deal he would accept; rather, it involves terms that the US might have agreed to a year ago.
When asked about the possibility of launching military action against Iran, the US President said he constantly considers the matter.
During the interview, Trump mentioned that the US military is providing facilities and security for the transport of large quantities of oil through the Strait of Hormuz.
According to him, the largest volume of oil to date was transported through the Strait of Hormuz yesterday.
Earlier, while speaking to the media, President Trump claimed that Iran would soon yield, leading to a drop in global oil prices.
