ISLAMABAD (Kashmir English): The authorities have issued a traffic management plan regarding the 9th OIC Ministerial Conference on Women to be held in the Jinnah Convention Centre in Islamabad on July 12 and 13.
As per the traffic management advisory, there will be certain special arrangements made from 8:00 am on July 11 to 12:00 pm on July 13 for the convenient transport of delegates and smooth conduct of the international conference.
According to the plan, the traffic that travels from Suhrawardy Chowk to Serena Chowk will be diverted, and drivers have been informed to make use of Embassy Road as an alternative road.
Moreover, the traffic moving from Constitution Avenue (France Turn) to Serena Chowk will experience diversions. The authorities have stated that the one-way traffic system will be run in the area during the period of the conference.
The traffic travelling from Aabpara via Srinagar Highway to Serena Chowk will also be diverted, and the commuters have been told to take 7th Avenue from Srinagar Highway.
Also, the traffic moving from Kashmir Chowk to Serena Chowk will be diverted and drivers have once again been advised to take 7th Avenue as the alternative road.
Citizens have been advised to plan their journeys in advance and use the designated alternative routes to avoid inconvenience during the event.
