Tourists flock to Banjosa Lake during Eid-ul-Azha holidays

RAWALAKOT (Kashmir English): The scenic Banjosa Lake witnessed a huge influx of tourists during the Eid-ul-Azha 2026 holidays, as visitors from different parts of Pakistan gathered to enjoy its breathtaking natural beauty and pleasant weather.

Located around 20 kilometers from Rawalakot, the famous lake is surrounded by dense pine forests and towering mountains, making it one of the most attractive tourist destinations in Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK).

On the third day of Eid, families, young travelers, and tourists could be seen enjoying the cool atmosphere, natural surroundings, and peaceful environment around the lake.

While talking with Kashmir Digital correspondent, tourists expressed admiration for the enchanting beauty of Banjosa Lake, saying the calm waters, lush green forests and refreshing weather provided a memorable experience during the festive holidays.

The area remained crowded throughout the day as tourists enjoyed sightseeing, photography, boating, and traditional food stalls set up near the lake.

Banjosa Lake is considered one of the most popular tourist attractions in the Poonch division and continues to attract visitors throughout the summer season due to its serene environment and picturesque landscape.
