KHARAN (Kashmir English): Security forces killed three terrorists during an operation near Killi Sarawan in Balochistan’s Kharan district on Friday afternoon, security sources said.
As per the sources, the Special Operations Team spotted three to four suspected militants on motorcycles approximately 300 meters northeast of Killi Sarawan at around 2:35 PM.
Security personnel chased them and attempted to intercept the suspects. During the attempt, an exchange of fire took place, during which three suspected terrorists were killed, sources said.
The official said that the operation team searched the area and recovered a cache of weapons and equipment allegedly intended for militant activities.
Recovered items included three submachine guns, two motorcycles, six RPG rounds, two electronic triggering devices, a battery, and approximately 300 feet of wire.
Sources added that the recovered material suggested that the group may have been preparing for an armed attack or the planting of an improvised explosive device (IED).
