ISLAMABAD (Kashmir English): Three administrative officers of Azad Kashmir were awarded the highest civil award, Tamgha-e-Imtiaz, on the occasion of Independence Day for their excellent performance and valuable professional services.

According to Kashmir Digital Report, this award was presented by the President Asif Ali Zardari at a ceremony held here on Thursday at the Presidential Palace to confer the highest national awards on civil and military figures.

These officers include Commissioner Poonch Masood-ur-Rehman, Assistant Commissioner Hijara Sardar Waleed Anwar and Azad Kashmir’s first DSP Jabeen Kausar.

These officers have held many high administrative positions, and during their posting and have proven their capabilities.

After receiving the award, Commissioner Poonch Masood-ur-Rehman said that this is an honour for me; all this is the result of the grace of Allah Almighty and the prayers of elders.

Commissioner Poonch said that I will never compromise on merit, principles and will continue to serve the people and continue to serve the people.
