MUZAFFARABAD (Kashmir English): In a massive effort to make children all-round prepared for their lives, the Chinar School of Learning in Muzaffarabad conducted a session on emergency response training by the Civil Defence Department.
Collected in the Capital city of Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK), the session was to equip students with the ability to act when faced with an emergency in a competent and poised way. The training aimed at giving actual knowledge of first aid and rescue techniques to sensitize students for quick reactions during a crisis.
In the case of emergency response training, students got to learn how to rescue injured victims on a safe basis, how they can carry out basic dressing on wounds, and how they can also be courageous even in adverse situations. Instructors explained that such activities are designed to boost children’s confidence and enable them to take immediate action instead of panicking during emergencies.
The trainers emphasised that the protection and defence of a country are not limited to the military alone. They told the students that national safety also relies on the preparedness and awareness of its citizens.
Just as the armed forces stand ready to defend the nation, every individual, whether a student or an ordinary citizen, can play a meaningful role during disasters or wartime by learning the basics of emergency response training.
Civil Defence instructors also emphasized the need for far-reaching first aid education in Pakistan as they explained that every person needs to know how to give immediate aid in the occurrence of accidents or natural disasters. They insisted “Emergency response training is essential for everyone”.
Parents and school administration commended the effort and said it was a positive move towards making children more responsible and prepared.
They said, that through such training at a young age, not only security is guaranteed, but also the students are being moulded into future citizens who are aware, capable, and ready to serve their community.
