RAWALPINDI (Kashmir English): Srilanka has defeated Zimbabwe (Zim vs SL) by nine wickets in the tri-nation T20 series match in Rawalpindi.
After winning the toss, the Zimbabwe team set a decent 147-run target for Sri Lanka in 20 overs, with Sikandar Raza and Ryan Burl top-scoring for them with 37 runs each.
Opener Brian Bennet contributed 34 off 26 balls and Brendan Taylor 14 off 16 balls. Maheesh Theekshana and Wanindu Hasaranga bagged two wickets each, while skipper Dasun Shanaka took one wicket.
While chasing, the Sri Lankan team achieved the target in the 17th over with an outstanding 98 not out by Pathum Nissanka.
Kusal Mendis was not out on 25 runs, while Kamil Mishara scored 12 runs and got out.
Pakistan has qualified for the final of the series, which is scheduled on 29th November.
