South Africa women’s team to arrive in Karachi for U-19 T20 series

KARACHI (Kashmir English): The South African Women’s Under-19 Cricket Team will arrive in Karachi on Friday to play a five-match series against Pakistan.

The visiting team will be taken to the hotel from Quaid-e-Azam International Airport under strict security arrangements and VIP protocol.

The five-match series will be played at the National Bank Stadium from July 14 to 24 in preparation for the upcoming ACC Women’s Under-19 T20 Asia Cup and ICC Women’s Under-19 T20 World Cup.

Fizza Fiaz will lead the Pakistan Under-19 team in the series, while Nikki van Soors will captain the visiting team.

Both teams will participate in night training sessions from July 11 to 13, while the first night T20 match of the series will be played on July 14, the second on July 17, the third on July 19, the fourth on July 22, and the fifth and final match on July 24.

Meanwhile, the Women’s Under-19 Fitness and Skills Camp under the PCB will end on Thursday.

Head Coach and Camp Commandant Muhammad Masroor supervised the camp at Hanif Muhammad Regional Cricket Academy, National Bank Stadium, which started on July 1.

During the camp, a 17-member squad was selected for the series against South Africa. On the other hand, at the end of the camp, the players of the Pakistan U-19 Women’s squad were shifted to a local hotel.

The Pakistan Women’s U-19 squad includes Captain Fizza Fiaz, Alzoha Hammad, Aqsa Habib, Arisha Ansari, Barira Saif, Hadiya Meena, Komal Khan, Mah Noor, Mahm Nazakat, Mahnoor Zeb, Maimuna Khalid, Rahama Syed, Royal Farhan, Rozeena Akram, Shahr Bano, Zainab Khanum and Zufshan Ayaz.
