MOSCOW (Kashmir English): A Russian student has been sentenced to five days in jail after allegedly placing a pizza order under the name Adolf Hitler and sharing prohibited symbols online.
Media reports said that the 18-year-old used the name Adolf Hitler while ordering a pizza at a restaurant in a shopping centre. He was subsequently detained on charges of promoting Nazi symbols.
Reports said that the suspect was arrested on college premises. He did not resist arrest and apologised for his actions.
According to the investigators, the student had drawn prohibited symbols on his desk and shared photographs of them in an online chat group.
Authorities said a local political figure had informed police about the development.
Police said the young man admitted his mistake, stating that he had not fully understood the nature of his actions and had no intention of repeating them in the future.
