ISLAMABAD (Kashmir English): Portuguese football legend Cristiano Ronaldo has become the world’s first billionaire footballer.

According to the latest Billionaires Index by the American magazine Bloomberg, Cristiano Ronaldo’s wealth is estimated at $1.4 billion, which is more than 393 billion rupees in Pakistani currency.

With this, Ronaldo has become the world’s first trillionaire footballer.

The 40-year-old star footballer’s wealth increased significantly when he signed a new contract with Saudi club Al-Nasr in June, which is estimated to be worth about $400 million.

According to Bloomberg, Ronaldo earned more than $550 million in salary alone between 2002 and 2023, while he received about $18 million per year from a decade-long sponsorship deal with Nike.

In addition, Ronaldo earned more than $175 million from endorsements for other famous brands.

Ronaldo’s transfer from Manchester United to Saudi football club Al-Nassr in 2023 made him the highest-paid player in football history. His annual contract was worth 177 million pounds.

Ronaldo now joins a small list of athletes who have become billionaires in the world of sports, including names such as Michael Jordan, Magic Johnson, LeBron James, golfer Tiger Woods and tennis star Roger Federer.
