LEEPA VALLEY (Kashmir English): Since 1998, The Read Foundation has been providing education in Leepa Valley by operating schools and a college, supporting over 300 orphaned children, and employing more than 160 staff members.

Beginning on May 5, 1998, the Read Foundation has operated in Leepa Valley to offer its services and deliver vital education support to the region. Ever since the foundation has built an impressive position through its operation of a college combined with six middle schools and one primary school that provides excellent education facilities to the residents.

Many graduates from the academic programs at The Read Foundation have gained important positions in their professional fields after completing their studies in Leepa Valley, Azad Jammu and Kashmir(AJK). The organization demonstrates its educational dedication by providing educational support to disadvantaged children including orphaned children. Temporary care is provided by The Read Foundation Science College in Leepa to more than 300 orphan children and the foundation takes full responsibility for their education costs.

The foundation maintains its expansion through a workforce of more than 160 members while working to enhance educational quality across the valley. The organization’s education professionals together with leadership members maintain a learning atmosphere which promotes student academic advancement and personal development.

The mission of the foundation centres on the enhancement of education in remote locations said Farooq Ahmed Abbasi, who serves as Cluster Head and Principal at Read Foundation Science College Leepa in an interview with Kashmir Digital. They emphasized getting quality instruction in such a difficult-to-access area where dedicated teachers and their staff members maintain nonstop student support.

Read Foundation stands beyond its educational status because it functions as a youth empowerment movement in Leepa Valley according to Abbasi. Education acts as the catalyst for development and we pledge to provide superior learning experiences to all students no matter what their social status is.

The foundation continuously works in Leepa Valley to reshape educational opportunities which create new opportunities for many students. As a light for education in the region, the Read Foundation uses its enduring commitment to academic achievement and societal responsibility.
