LEEPA VALLEY (Kashmir English): The Read Foundation, in collaboration with the TEVTA Azad Kashmir, successfully completed a six-month Level-One computer course in Leepa Valley. The course aimed to equip young men and women from remote areas with essential computer skills to help them in education and employment.
A special ceremony was organized to honor the participants who completed the course. The event was attended by a large number of local residents and community leaders. The Read Foundation played a leading role in organizing the training and ensuring that students from different villages had access to digital education.
Chairman of the Azad Kashmir Tax Board, Syed Tufail Hussain Bukhari, was the chief guest at the ceremony. Other notable attendees included District Council Member Leepa Basheer Alam Awan, District Council Member Nokot Abdul Aziz Budhan, Ward Members Siddique Sheikh and Azhar Mir. The ceremony was presided over by Farooq Ahmed Abbasi, Principal of Read Foundation Leepa.
A total of 42 men and women from various villages in Leepa Valley completed the course and were awarded certificates during the ceremony. Many participants expressed their gratitude to the Read Foundation for providing such an opportunity in a remote area where access to technical education is limited.
The speakers at the event appreciated the joint efforts of the Read Foundation and TEVTA in empowering the local youth. They emphasized the importance of digital literacy in today’s world and encouraged similar training programs in other rural areas of Azad Kashmir.
This initiative by the Read Foundation is part of its broader mission to promote education and skill development across underserved regions. The successful completion of this course marks another step forward in bridging the digital divide and providing the youth with tools for a better future.
