LEEPA VALEY (Kashmir English): In a nail-biting finish, the Raj Qalandars, sponsored by Kashmir Digital, won the first-ever floodlight cricket tournament in Leepa Valley.
The tournament sponsored by the Pakistan Army saw a thrilling match between the Raj Qalandars and Warrior Fighters.
Batting first, Raj Qalandars made a target of 92 runs in 6 overs, which Warrior Fighters matched with a score of 91 runs in 6 overs.
The match was then referred to as a Super Over, where Naomi Pirzada, a young cricketer for Raj Qalandars, led a big all-round performance to set a target of 9 runs.
Kashmir Digital’s team Raj Qalandars won the first floodlight tournament with the help of two towering sixes in the first two balls of the Super Over.
This tournament provided a great opportunity for the youth to partake in healthy activity and amusement, while also generating a substantial number of onlookers out of appreciation toward the Pakistan Army’s support.
