MUZAFFARABAD (Kashmir English): The rain in Muzaffarabad has brightened it up, initially, thick fog was there in the morning, but it gradually cleared as the sun rose higher and brighter to cast gold onto the city.
The morning star was shadowed in its brightness as it shone through fog covering the city. Both the natives and outsiders could not escape from the temptation to enjoy the nice weather caused by the rain.
People are enjoying the cold fresh air due to the change in weather. Families and kids are also enjoying the lovely weather in the nearby parks and open areas. Later it also seemed to improve things for commuters and pedestrians alike, even if there was a little fog end of the day, the city looked clean and fresh because the rain washed off the dirt from buildings and roads, leaving them looking fresh and dewy.
The weather forecast has been telling about the next three days which are expected to be cool and cold evenings and some sunshine during the day. Later this week, drizzle may occur again, thus having the effect of preserving the fresh wintry air, but no substantial rainfall is anticipated shortly.
As of today, Azad Kashmir faces sunny to partly cloudy and hazy weather with a high of 61F. The winds are WSW at a speed of 10 to 15 mph. For the night it is expected to be mostly clear with lows of 37F. The winds will be light and variable.
AJK will experience a mix of sunny, snowy and cloudy conditions with varying temperatures. Residents are advised to dress warmly, especially in higher-altitude areas, and carry umbrellas in regions expecting showers. Travellers to Neelum Valley and other high-altitude areas should remain cautious of road closures or landslides in case of snow showers or rain. Tourists are encouraged to stay safe and plan their activities accordingly.
