Qalandars and Zalmi sign new decade-long agreement with PSL

LAHORE (Kashmir English): Lahore Qalandars and Peshawar Zalmi have renewed their contract with the Pakistan Super League (PSL) for another ten years.

The decision was made after a valuation conducted by EY, which is being described as a sign of confidence in the strength and future of the event.

According to PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi, the renewal of the contract by Lahore Qalandars is proof that the franchise has complete confidence in the future of the league.

He said that the owners of Qalandars have transformed their team into a global brand, which has become the hallmark of Pakistan cricket.

He said that the passion, energy, and continuous hard work of Lahore Qalandars are the identity of the league, and the talent nursery of Qalandars has provided new and quality talent to Pakistan cricket.

He said that under the leadership of Shaheen Shah Afridi, Lahore Qalandars have proven their superiority by winning three titles in the last four years.

The PCB has assured that the strong partnership with Lahore Qalandars will continue in the future.

Moreover, Peshawar Zalmi also renewed its franchise agreement with the Pakistan Super League for 10 years.

Peshawar Zalmi renewed the agreement after the valuation of EY Mina. The ownership of Peshawar Zalmi will remain with the current owners for the next decade.

Chairman Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), Mohsin Naqvi, said that under the leadership of Javed Afridi, Zalmi has become the most popular franchise in Pakistan.

Javed Afridi’s vision is a strong foundation for both Zalmi and PSL.

PSL CEO Salman Naseer said that Peshawar Zalmi’s contract renewal is a sign of confidence in PSL. Zalmi’s energy and fan connection are the hallmarks of PSL. And Javed Afridi has played a key role in the growth of PSL.
