LAHORE (Kashmir English): The Punjab Education Department has issued a notification to conduct the 5th and 6th grade exams at the board level.
According to the notification, the board exam will be conducted by the Punjab Education Curriculum Training and Assessment Authority.
The circular said that the decision was taken due to the poor results of the 9th and 10th board exams this year. The purpose of the board exam for both classes is the educational and mental training of the students.
The board results of the 9th and 10th classes will also be good from the board exam.
The circular said that all school heads have been instructed to start preparations, and the school heads have also been asked to submit a school academic improvement plan.
The Punjab Teachers Union said that the first two attempts at the 5th and 8th board exams have failed.
The teachers said that instead of new experiments, a unified educational examination and teaching long-term policy should be made.
