MUZAFFARABAD: The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Azad Jammu and Kashmir(AJK) chapter has expelled 21 renegade members of the assembly, including Prime Minister (PM) Chaudhry Anwarul Haq, from the party,
The members have been sacked on the accusation of rebellion and ideological deviation against the party leadership.
According to party spokesperson Syed Tabrez Kazmi, this step was taken by PTI Azad Kashmir President Sardar Abdul Qayyum Niazi on the instructions of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf founder Chairman Imran Khan.
He said that those who betrayed Imran Khan’s ideology and took PTI votes and joined the PDM have been expelled from the party.
The renegade members looted the public mandate, hatched a conspiracy against the party, and prioritized personal interests over national and party interests, said the spokesperson.
He stressed that these members should show moral courage and resign from their positions.
The deviant members of the assembly expelled from the Tehreek-e-Insaf Azad Kashmir include Prime Minister Azad kashmir, Chaudhry Anwarul Haq, State Ministers including Sardar Muhammad Hussain, Sardar Mir Akbar, Diwan Chughtai, Chaudhry Arshad Hussain , Chaudhry Rashid ,Abdul Majid Khan , Azhar Sadiq , Nisar Ansar, Chaudhry Akhlaq , Akmal Sargala , Zafar Iqbal Malik , Faheem Rabbani, Yasir Sultan, Javed Butt, Asim Butt, Kausar Sangshid Gilani, Begum Imtiaz Naseem, Begum Shahida Sagheer Chughtai, Ali Shan Soni and Mazhar Saeed have been declared deviants and expelled from the party.
Tabrez Kazmi clarified that all these members no longer have any connection with Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf and are not authorized to use the party name. It is imperative to expose them in a public court and hold them accountable in the constituencies.
