PSX, State Bank notifies closure on Eid-ul-Adha

ISLAMABAD: The State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) has announced bank holidays on the occasion of Eid-ul-Adha, starting from Friday, June 6, till Monday, June 9.

According to a notification, the central bank stated that it will remain closed during the Eid holidays. The central bank and its allied offices, public and private banks, and financial institutions will also remain closed on these days.

Similarly, the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) also notified the closure of its offices from June 6 to June 9 on Eid-ul-Adha.

The PSX press notice stated, “All TRE Certificate Holders, staff, and concerned parties are hereby informed that the Pakistan Stock Exchange Limited will remain closed from Friday, June 6, 2025, to Monday, June 9, 2025, on account of Eid-ul-Adha.”

The stock exchange also extended “heartiest Eid greetings to everyone in advance.”

Earlier, the federal government announced a four-day public holiday to mark the religious festival. According to a notification issued by the Cabinet Division, the government declared public holidays from June 6 to 9.
