President Zardari visits J-10C aircraft manufacturing complex in China

CHENGDU, China (Kashmir English): President Asif Ali Zardari paid a historic visit to the Aircraft Complex of China’s Aviation Industry Corporation (AVIC) here Sunday.

The President, who is also the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, visited the entire complex where J-10C aircraft are manufactured.

Detailed briefing on J-10C, JF-17 aircraft

The J-10C aircraft played a significant role in the Maarka-e-Haq in May 2025. During the visit, President Zardari met with engineers and scientists and was given a detailed briefing on the J-10C, JF-17, and the latest J-20 stealth fighters.

The President was also briefed on drone technology, autonomous units, and multi-domain operations.

Speaking on the occasion, the President said that J-10 and JF-17 aircraft have significantly strengthened the capabilities of the Pakistan Air Force, and their performance in Maarka-e-Haq and Operation ‘Bunyan-un-Marsoos’ was outstanding.

He described AVIC as a symbol of China’s technological superiority and the Pak-China strategic partnership.

This is the first time a foreign head of state has visited this complex. Chairman Pakistan Peoples’ Party Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, First Lady Aseefa Bhutto, and Senator Saleem Mandviwalla also accompanied the President.

On this occasion, Pakistan’s Ambassador Khalil Hashmi and China’s Ambassador Jiang Zaidong were also with the President.

President Asif Ali Zardari reiterated Pakistan’s commitment to further expand cooperation with China in defence production and aviation sectors.
