ISLAMABAD (Kashmir English): The Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) has constituted a parliamentary board for awarding party tickets to candidates for the upcoming general elections in Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK).
Important political figures from Azad Kashmir and the party’s central leadership have been included in the parliamentary board, according to a formal notification issued from the PPP Chairman’s Secretariat.
The members include MPA Sindh Faryal Talpur, President PPP AJK Chaudhry Muhammad Yasin, AJK Prime Minister Faisal Mumtaz Rathore, and acting President AJK Chaudhry Latif Akbar.
Sardar Muhammad Yaqoob Khan, Mian Abdul Waheed, Sardar Qamar Zaman, Sardar Tanveer Ilyas, Member of the National Assembly (MNA) Chuadhry Pervaiz Ashraf, and Chaudhry Riaz are also members of the parliamentary board.
Notification in this regard was issued from the Chairman’s Secretariat by his Political Secretary Jameel Soomro today.
The process of distributing party tickets will be completed with consultation, the party said.
