MUZAFFARABAD (Kashmir English): The polling for the third phase of the Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) election in four constituencies of Bagh and Haveli districts concluded on Monday amid allegations of rigging by the PPP.
Polling began at 8 am and continued until 5 pm under tight security. Following the end of polling, the vote count is underway in four constituencies.
Kashmir Digital has begun receiving unofficial, preliminary results from multiple polling stations.

A total of 460,371 registered voters were eligible to cast their ballots across the four constituencies. Election Commission said that 803 polling stations and 1,254 polling booths were established.
In a statement earlier today, the electoral body added that 214 polling stations were established in LA-14 West Bagh for 121,199 registered voters, including 41 declared highly sensitive.

In LA-15 Central Bagh, 211 polling stations were set up for 114,937 voters, with 53 classified as highly sensitive. Meanwhile, LA-16 East Bagh has 186 polling stations, including 61 highly sensitive polling stations, with 106,721 registered voters.
In LA-17 Haveli district, 117,514 voters were eligible to cast their votes. Incumbent Prime Minister Faisal Mumtaz Rathore is contesting the election from this constituency on a PPP ticket, facing PML-N candidate Chaudhry Mohsin Aziz and independent candidate Khawaja Tariq Saeed.
The third phase of the polls was originally meant to be held across 11 constituencies of Poonch Division, including three in Bagh, one in Haveli, five in Poonch district and two in Sudhnoti district.
However, last week the AJK Election Commissioner Justice (retd) Ghulam Mustafa Mughal announced that polling would only go ahead as scheduled in Bagh and Haveli districts due to concerns over the law and order situation.
The commissioner has hinted that polling on the remaining seven constituencies could be held by Aug 20 or 21 if the ongoing sit-in in Rawalakot ends within the next two to three days.
