MUZAFFARABAD (Kashmir English): In a swift response to a distress call from villagers, the Muzaffarabad police, along with residents, successfully rescued a young boy from kidnappers near Langarpura village.
The kidnappers, identified as Yasir Bukhari, a resident of Turkey Chowk, Muzaffarabad, and his accomplice, were apprehended while fleeing the scene in a car.
According to sources, the kidnappers had forcibly taken the child from Dabban village and were attempting to escape when the villagers alerted the police. A chase ensued, but the combined efforts of the police and locals led to the capture of the suspects near Langarpora.
Yasir Bukhari is reportedly a known figure in the area, wanted by the police for his alleged involvement in drug dealing. Authorities have confirmed the arrest of both suspects and are currently investigating the circumstances surrounding the kidnapping attempt.
