MUZAFFARABAD (Kashmir English): A police constable died, and several others were injured after a police squad vehicle travelling with Azad Kashmir Prime Minister Faisal Mumtaz Rathore’s convoy met with an accident in Haveli district on Friday.
According to the police, the convoy was travelling from Khursheedabad to Forward Kahuta when the vehicle reportedly plunged into a gorge while taking a sharp turn near Chanjal village.
Police sources said that five to six police personnel, including SHO Barkat Rathore, and a few passersby were also injured as a result of the accident.
The injured were shifted to a nearby hospital, where they are receiving medical treatment.
