ISLAMABAD (Kashmir English): Former Prime Minister of Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Raja Farooq Haider held a detailed meeting with President Muslim Conference and former AJK PM Sardar Attique Ahmed Khan at Mujahid Manzil in Islamabad.
The meeting, which lasted for around two hours, focused on a range of issues, including the prevailing law and order situation in Azad Kashmir and the ongoing sit-in in Poonch.
The two leaders expressed serious concern over the political and law-and-order situation in the region and emphasized the need to adopt dialogue, understanding, and negotiations to resolve issues and improve the overall situation.
They stressed that every possible effort should be made to avoid the use of force and that political and public issues should be addressed through peaceful means and mutual consultation.
“Concerns and perceptions regarding the partition of Kashmir, the internal autonomy of Azad Kashmir, and the state identity will be prevented at all levels,” the meeting discussed.
Both leaders reaffirmed that there could be no compromise on the internal autonomy, existing status, identity, and dignity of Azad Jammu and Kashmir.
