MUZAFFARABAD (Kashmir English): The key leadership of Pakistan Muslim League-Noon (PML-N) has approved the names of members expected to join the interim cabinet of Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK), according to sources.
According to the sources, Dr. Mustafa Bashir, Raja Saqib Majeed, Noreen Arif, Maryam Idrees, Chaudhry Rukhsar, Chaudhry Zaraq and Raja Riyat are likely to be included in the interim AJK cabinet.
Meanwhile, Raja Ayaz, Azhar Sadiq, Sardar Mir Akbar, Waqar Noor and Pir Mazhar Saeed are likely to be assigned portfolios of different departments.
Sources further said that Sehrish Qamar is also likely to become part of the cabinet. In addition, Raja Usman Farooq and Mohsin Uzair are expected to be given important responsibilities as advisers.
PML-N ally Sajid Iqbal Abbasi is also likely to receive an important position in the AJK government, sources added.
The sources said that after elections are held in the remaining constituencies, the government may consider reshuffling or expanding the AJK cabinet.
The final composition of the cabinet, along with the official announcement regarding the allocation of ministerial portfolios, is expected to be made by the AJK prime minister and the government.
