MUZAFFARABAD (Kashmir Digital): The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has warned that heavy rain is likely in various areas of Azad Kashmir and northeastern Punjab today.
Yesterday, heavy rains lashed several parts of Punjab, including Gujrat, Sialkot, Jhelum, and Narowal, after which incidents of waterlogging in low-lying areas came to light.
According to the Meteorological Department, rain is likely to continue in Azad Kashmir and the northeastern districts of Punjab today as well, which may cause flooding in local and rain-fed rivers.
The agency has warned that there is a possibility of flooding in low-lying areas of Narowal, Sialkot, Gujrat, Jhelum, Mandi Bahauddin, Gujranwala, and Lahore. The possibility of landslides has also been expressed as a result of heavy rain in Azad Kashmir.
