PM Shehbaz arrives in Muzaffarabad on one-day visit

MUZAFFARABAD (Kashmir English): Prime Minister of Pakistan Shahbaz Sharif on Thursday reached Muzaffarabad, the capital city of Azad Kashmir, on a one-day visit.

Upon reaching Muzaffarabad, the Prime Minister was welcomed by the political leadership of Azad Kashmir. He was seen shaking hands with former AJK Prime Minister Raja Farooq Haider Khan and other senior politicians.

On this occasion, Speaker of the Legislative Assembly Latif Akbar, Hurriyat leader, and President of the PPP Chaudhry Yasin were also present.

Later, PM Shehbaz attended a ceremony organised in Muzaffarabad to honor the martyrs and veterans, where he distributed relief cheques to the heirs of the martyrs and other victims of recent Indian aggression.

The premier expressed gratitude for the success of Operation Banyanun Marsoos and paid rich tribute to the civilian and military martyrs, and expressed a firm commitment to stand with the Kashmiri people.

Prime Minister of Azad Kashmir Chaudhry Anwarul Haq, Federal Ministers, including Amir Muqam, Atta Tarar, Rana Sanaullah, members of the AJK Legislative Assembly, and the leadership of all political parties were also present on the occasion.
