MUZAFFARABAD (Kashmir English): Prime Minister Azad Jammu and Kashmir Faisal Mumtaz Rathore has said that on July 19, 1947, the Muslim leadership of the state of Jammu and Kashmir, passed the historic resolution of accession to Pakistan, which remains the foundation of their national ideology and resolve today.

Accession to Pakistan Day

In his special message on the occasion of Accession to Pakistan Day, the PM said that love for Pakistan is a part of their faith, identity, and national pride.

“The Kashmiri people have made unparalleled sacrifices for the sake of this bond and remain steadfast in their struggle for the right to self-determination.”

Rathore said that Indian atrocities in occupied Jammu and Kashmir, the illegal actions of August 5, 2019, and human rights violations have not been able to dampen the spirits of Kashmiris.

“The only sustainable solution to the Kashmir issue is in accordance with United Nations resolutions and the wishes of the Kashmiri people.”

The PM thanked the Government of Pakistan, the Armed Forces of Pakistan, and the Pakistani people for their continuous political, diplomatic, and moral support for Kashmiris.

“I am confident that the day will surely come when the Kashmiri people will decide their future by exercising their right to self-determination,” he said.
