ISLAMABAD (Kashmir English): Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has announced the opening of gas connections for domestic consumers across the country.
This announcement was made during the launch ceremony of RLNG gas connections, in which the Prime Minister said that gas connections for domestic consumers were a major need and a long-standing demand of the people.
Addressing the ceremony, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said, “Gas connections for domestic consumers were a major requirement. The government has decided to open gas connections across the country to fulfill this important need.”
He reminded that during the PDM government in 2022, gas supply was a major challenge, and it was not possible to fulfill the important demand of the people.
The Prime Minister said, “Gas was not available at that time, so I had to apologize to the people, but today, the restoration of gas connections has fulfilled the long-standing demand of the people.”
Shehbaz Sharif said that millions of applications have been received for new gas connections, and with their early approval, a domestic gas facility will be provided to the citizens.
The Prime Minister also highlighted the country’s energy situation, saying that in 2013, the load shedding period was more than 20 hours, but the PML-N government took special steps to end darkness and ensure power supply.
“We want to put the country on the path of development by working day and night and give top priority to the convenience of the people,” he said.
After this move, citizens across the country will be able to apply for domestic gas connections, and after their approval, they will be provided with gas on time.
This step will not only fulfill the long-standing demands of the people but will also promote convenience and transparency in the energy sector.
