MUZAFFARABAD (Kashmir English): Prime Minister of Azad Jammu and Kashmir, Chaudhry Anwar-ul-Haq, has strongly condemned the Khuzdar school bus attack, calling it an act of extreme brutality. He expressed deep sorrow over the tragic loss of innocent lives and said the targeting of children was a heartbreaking act of terrorism.
Prime Minister Anwar-ul-Haq expressed that the terrorists have committed the worst form of brutality by targeting innocent children. The martyrdom of these young souls has deeply saddened everyone’s hearts.
He accused India of backing the unrest in Balochistan, claiming that Indian-trained terrorists are spreading chaos in the region.
He further added that India, frustrated by the success of Operation “Bunyan um-Marsoos”, has intensified its proxy war after losing on the battlefield.
The Khuzdar school bus attack occurred near Zero Point on the national highway in Balochistan’s Khuzdar district.
A school bus was targeted in a devastating blast, resulting in the deaths of five individuals, including 3 innocent children, and injuries to more than 38 students.
Rescue teams rushed to the scene immediately and transported the wounded to nearby hospitals, where several remain in critical condition.
In addition to the children, several teachers lost their lives in what was believed to be a suicide bombing.
The AJK Prime Minister expressed his condolences to the families of the deceased teachers and prayed for strength for the bereaved, saying, “May Allah elevate the ranks of the martyrs and grant patience to their families.”
The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) also released a statement, calling the Khuzdar school bus attack a cowardly act by India-sponsored proxies.
The ISPR noted that “In yet another cowardly and ghastly attack planned and orchestrated by the terrorist state of India and executed by its proxies in Balochistan, innocent school-going children’s bus was targeted today in Khuzdar,” It emphasised that targeting school-going children violates fundamental human values and international law.
“As per the initial reports, three innocent children and two adults have embraced martyrdom and multiple children have sustained injuries,” the press release regarding the Khuzdar school bus attack added.
“After having miserably failed on the battlefield, through these most heinous and cowardly such like acts, Indian proxies have been unleashed to spread terror and unrest in Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa,” the ISPR said.
