Pakistani boxers to get world-class training in Kazakh centres

LAHORE (Kashmir English): Pakistani boxers will get world-class training in Kazakhstan under a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between Pakistan Boxing Federation and Kazakhstan Boxing Federation.

The recently signed Mou by the two federations will help Pakistani athletes pursue world-class training.

According to the agreement, the Pakistan boxers will get access to world-class training in high-performance environment, consistent top-level sparring, and structured preparation for major international events.

The signing was hosted by the Pakistan Olympic Association Headquarters in Lahore and attended by Secretary General, Pakistan Olympic Association, Muhammad Khalid Mahmood; and the Pakistan Boxing Federation President Lt Col (R) Muhammad Nasir Ijaz Tung.

Joining virtually were the Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Pakistan Yerzhan Kistafin along with the Kazakhstan Boxing Federation President Shakhmurat Mutalip, and a representative of the Embassy of Kazakhstan Olza Ali Bove.

The Pakistan Boxing Federation secretary Major Irfan Younas was also present online with them.

Exchanges of boxers and coaches

Through this cooperation, both sides will arrange joint training camps and competitions, facilitate exchanges of boxers and coaches, and create opportunities for Pakistani athletes to train in leading Kazakh centres.

This agreement moves directly from intent to impact, opening doors to elite training blocks, tougher preparation cycles, and stronger international results for Pakistan’s boxers, ” read a press release issued after the MoU was signed.
