ISLAMABAD (Kashmir English): Minister of State for Interior Talal Chaudhry has said that Pakistan will soon win the war against terrorism. He said that the country had achieved great success against terrorism in 2013 as well, and will also deal with the current challenges.
He said that the country is currently facing serious threats of terrorism, which is why Section 144 has been imposed in Rawalpindi and Islamabad in view of the law and order situation.
Talal Chaudhry said that terrorist incidents are increasing rapidly in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and terrorists plan attacks during large gatherings.
The Minister of State said that the materials for the Islamabad court blast are coming from Afghanistan, while the terrorists use VPN to hide their identity.
He said that according to court orders, government resources cannot be used for political purposes, and if there is misuse of government machinery at any level, action will be taken.
Talal Chaudhry clarified that Section 144 has been imposed to protect the lives and property of citizens, and strict action will be taken against those violating it. He said that they are fully committed to eradicating terrorism from across the country.
He added that the lives of thousands of other prisoners lodged in Adiala Jail may also be at risk, hence no relaxation in security measures will be taken.
