ISLAMABAD (Kashmir English): Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar and Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan on Sunday emphasised the importance of dialogue and diplomacy for peace and stability in the Middle East.
Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan is visiting Pakistan alongside the Foreign Ministers of Saudi Arabia and Egypt for consultations on the evolving situation in the Middle East and ongoing efforts aimed at de-escalation.
According to the Foreign Office statement, both leaders held a bilateral meeting in Islamabad, where they “reaffirmed strong Pakistan–Türkiye ties, discussed regional developments including Iran, and stressed dialogue, de-escalation, diplomacy & coordination for peace and stability.”

During the meeting, the DPM Dar underscored the historic and fraternal ties between Pakistan and Turkiye, rooted in shared history, culture, and mutual respect.
“He expressed satisfaction at the positive trajectory of bilateral relations and reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to expanding cooperation with Turkiye across all sectors of mutual interest,” the FO said.
Both sides reviewed the full spectrum of bilateral relations and explored avenues for strengthening the longstanding strategic partnership between the two brotherly countries.
During the meeting, “the two leaders also exchanged views on recent regional developments, including the evolving situation in Iran, and emphasised the importance of dialogue and sustained diplomatic engagement to promote peace and stability.”
Both sides reaffirmed their unwavering support for each other’s core national interests, agreed to maintain close coordination, and to continue working together to deepen the strategic partnership between Pakistan and Turkiye.
Pakistan and Egypt FMs meeting
Earlier today, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Ishaq Dar and Egypt’s Foreign Minister Dr. Badr Abdelatty vowed to continue “coordination on regional and global issues” of mutual interest, the Foreign Office said in a statement.
Both leaders held a bilateral meeting in Islamabad today, where productive discussions on Pakistan-Egypt bilateral relations were held.
Ishaq Dar and Egyptian FM “held productive discussions on Pakistan-Egypt bilateral relations, reaffirming their commitment to further strengthening ties, enhancing economic cooperation, and coordinating on regional and global issues of mutual interest,” the FO wrote on X.
