DUBAI (Kashmir English): Pakistan will host the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup from September 7 to October 1, 2028, as the International Cricket Council (ICC) has finalized the dates for the international cricket calendar leading up to 2030.
The updated schedule, shared with ICC member boards following meetings held in Dubai earlier this month, also confirms that Australia and New Zealand will co-host the Men’s T20 World Cup from October 12 to November 12, 2028.
Twelve teams will compete for the global title in the Women’s T20 World Cup in Pakistan. The men’s edition, which will begin just 11 days after the women’s tournament, will feature 20 teams under an expanded format.
These back-to-back tournaments will mark a busy period for international cricket, with two major T20 events taking place over a span of just over a month.
The ICC has also confirmed that the final of the 2029 World Test Championship (WTC) will be played in England from June 8 to 12. This single match will determine the champion of the 2027–29 WTC cycle, with the two top-ranked teams qualifying for the final.
In another scheduling change, the 2030 Men’s T20 World Cup has been moved from its previously anticipated June window to July and August. England, Ireland, and Scotland—who have already been awarded the hosting rights—will jointly host this 20-team tournament.
The revised calendar outlines a busy period for international cricket between the 2027 and 2031 One Day International (ODI) World Cups, featuring numerous global tournaments scheduled across various formats and host nations.
