ISLAMABAD (Kashmir English): Pakistan has conducted precision aerial and drone strikes against 10 locations in Afghanistan following a deliberate drone incursion launched from Afghan territory, according to Federal Minister for Information Attaulllah Tarar.
According to a statement issued by Tarar, the targeted locations were being used for launching and storing drones involved in the attempted attack against Pakistan.
He said that Pakistan air defence systems detected, tracked and neutralised all the intruding drones before they could reach their intended targets.

On September 23, security sources said eight drones launched from Afghanistan had been shot down near the Torkham border and Kohat.
The Information Minister described the strikes on the 10 locations as deliberate, precise, calibrated and proportionate, saying they were limited to identified military objectives directly linked to the attempted attacks.
Attaullah Tarar, in his statement, warned that “Pakistan will neither accept nor tolerate attacks launched from Afghan territory, whether by terrorist groups or by the Afghan Taliban regime itself.
Any violation of Pakistan’s sovereignty will be met with an immediate and decisive response. Threats, denials or attempts to deflect responsibility by the Afghan Taliban will neither alter the facts nor constrain Pakistan’s inherent right to defend its territory, its people and its national security.”
Pakistan called on the Afghan Taliban regime to cease hostile activities and take effective, concrete and sustained action against terrorist entities operating from Afghan soil, the statement added.
At the same time, He added that Pakistan did not seek escalation and remained committed to regional peace, dialogue and constructive engagement.
